Lisa Stewart is a dynamic facilitator with over 20 years of experience in learning and development. She is respected and valued for being a thinking partner to HR professionals and business leaders around the world. Her expertise is in the areas of leadership; coaching; cross cultural working; women’s career development; team building and diversity and inclusion.

Lisa’s first career was as a public finance specialist in investment banking, creating debt financing for large scale public works projects. Her investment banking experience gave her a pragmatic business-oriented approach toward human resources. Undergoing her own career transition into management and executive education called forth her optimistic coach’s view — helping others see how they can draw from their inner resources to apply transferrable skills in entirely new settings. She was instrumental in building the foundation for Shell International’s Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) organizational change process as a member of Shell International’s Global Diversity Practice in London. She subsequently served as Senior Consultant in Shell Learning in The Hague, and was also a member of BP’s global faculty. Her best job ever was teaching an adult ex-offender how to read.

Lisa facilitated highly impactful gender dialogue sessions and workshops for five companies that subsequently won Catalyst awards recognizing their progress in advancing women. She led the design and roll out of senior leader diversity & inclusion educational sessions for the top 1500 Shell International Leaders. She has created and led workshops on personal effectiveness, working across cultures, team building, communication and influence, career development and many aspects of leadership for clients in financial services, energy, pharma and manufacturing in locations around the world. She has particular expertise in unconscious bias, having facilitated learning sessions on the impact of unconscious bias on decision making and inclusive leadership for four of the largest banks in the world.
