Susan Mannlein

Susan Mannlein is the founder and Managing Director of Global OD Solutions. She is a diversity and organizational development professional who designs and implements initiatives to enhance the organizational effectiveness of her clients. In addition to her sixteen years of experience in diversity and OD, Ms. Mannlein also has six years of practical line-management and P&L experience at Baxter Healthcare in the functional areas of credit, customer service, operations, distribution, and financial services.

Following her leadership roles in operations with Baxter, Ms. Mannlein became a Senior Consultant with the Diversity Management and OD group there. Later, she joined Towers Perrin as a Senior Consultant in their Diversity and OD practice before starting Global OD Solutions in 1997.

Ms. Mannlein has performed a variety of organizational needs assessments, facilitated executive teams, designed program content, certified facilitators, delivered training, and designed organizational development frameworks and strategies. In addition to diversity and inclusion, she also has a great deal of expertise in leadership development, cross-cultural communications, team building, mentoring, supervisory and management training, change management, and executive coaching.

Ms. Mannlein holds a BA in English, Psychology and Women’s Studies from Michigan State University, where she was recognized with the “Outstanding Liberal Arts Graduate” award. She has also completed graduate level coursework in Human Resources, Diversity, Change Management, and Organizational Development, including the one-year OD Practitioner’s Program with Edie Seashore and Michael Broom of NTL. Ms. Mannlein holds advanced certification in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), and is a certified administrator of the Emotional and Social Competence Inventory (ESCI) as well as the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI). She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, the Diversity Leadership Forum, The Conference Board, and the American Society for Training and Development, as well as other professional organizations.

Her international experience includes client engagements in Australia, Bermuda, Canada, China, England, France, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain and Sweden, in addition to the year she spent volunteering and living in the Caribbean island chain and Venezuela.
